LAUSDが「あなたの権利を知るカード」配布　ICEの対移民捜査に備え（1/30）

【ロサンゼルス29日】トランプ大統領が就任後１週間で移民に関する複数の大統領令に署名したことを受け、ロサンゼルス統一学校区（LAUSD）は、移民・税関執行局（ICE）による強制捜査の可能性に備え、移民の権利などを記した「Know Your Rightsカード（あなたの権利を知るカード）」を生徒や職員に配布し始めた。

　この大統領令には、国境の警備執行を軍に任せること、亡命・難民受け入れを停止すること、出生権市民権を抹消しようとすること、集団強制送還を強化することなどが含まれている。

　シカゴなどの都市ではすでにICEによる強制捜査が開始され、子供たちを学校に通わせることを恐れるなどの移民家庭が出てきている。

　強制捜査の可能性に備え、LAUSDは生徒、職員、保護者らに移民取締りに関するプロトコルについての情報を提供している（https://www.lausd.org/weareone）。

　LAUSDが配布する「あなたの権利を知るカード」には、入国管理局職員に接触された場合、どのように対応すべきかについての情報と指示が記載されている（https://www.ilrc.org/red-cards-tarjetas-rojas）。

　LAUSDはまた、入国管理局の職員が学校やその近くに現れた場合の対応について、職員に義務的な研修を開始した。同区は、生徒と職員の法的権利とプライバシーを守ることを明言しており、広報担当者は「学校職員は、生徒とその家族の移民ステータスに関する情報を収集したり、共有したりすることはない」と述べた。

　ロサンゼルス学区警察もまた、「移民コンプライアンスチェック、移民強制活動、ICE関連タスクフォース活動を支援しない、または関与しない」との声明を出した。

　ロサンゼルス市とLAUSDの教育委員会では、移民に寛容な政策をとる「聖域都市」条例が可決されており、連邦移民取締りのために市の資源を提供したり職員を任用することを禁止している。
