【ロサンゼルス20日】アルメニア人がアメリカへの移民を始めたのは、1890年代と1915年に起きたオスマン帝国による虐殺を逃れて多くのアルメニア人が渡米したことが始まりと言われている。
現在では、40万人以上のアルメニア系アメリカ人がアメリカ国内にいて、その４割ほどがロサンゼルスに住んでいると言われている。
ロサンゼルス郡では、４月を「アルメニアの月」とし、文化や歴史などに触れるイベントなども行われている。
